About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong Ruby on Rails experience who thrives in solving complex technical challenges, delivering high-quality solutions, and sharing knowledge with the wider engineering team. You'll have the opportunity to work on a modern, scalable platform, solve complex technical challenges, and play a key role in delivering high-quality products.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to build, maintain, and improve applications that deliver real value to our customers. As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will contribute to feature development, system improvements, and technical problem-solving while continuing to grow your skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance Ruby on Rails applications and backend services. Build and maintain APIs and integrations with internal and external systems. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver new features and improvements. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and production issues. Support application performance, reliability, and scalability improvements. Contribute to testing, deployment, and continuous integration processes. Document technical solutions and share knowledge with the wider team. Continuously develop your technical skills and stay current with industry best practices.
What We're Looking For
Extensive commercial experience developing and maintaining scalable applications using Ruby on Rails in a senior engineering capacity. Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles. Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript, with the ability to build and maintain modern, scalable user interfaces and contribute across the full application stack. Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure. Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Experience working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL. Strong knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software. Experience using Git and collaborating within an Agile development environment. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders. Proven ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges, breaking down problems and delivering scalable, maintainable solutions. Fluent English communication skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Knowledge of Docker and containerised applications. Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Redis, or Elasticsearch. Experience working within SaaS, e-commerce, or technology-focused businesses.
