You also need to be tenacious in continuing to pitch stories, as securing media coverage can take time. • Social media awareness: An interest in platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, and an understanding of how content and tone differ across them • An interest in influencers: Curiosity about creators, their audiences and what makes a brand partnership feel relevant and authentic • Content creation: Confidence trying tools such as Canva and basic video editing tools, with a willingness to learn • Organisation and attention to detail: Keep contact lists, content calendars and campaign trackers accurate, and communicate clearly with colleagues

The role • Supporting the team with research, reporting, writing, social content and influencer campaign coordination • Developing practical skills across PR, social media and influencer marketing, with support and feedback from the team • Learning what makes a strong PR story, engaging social content and a successful creator partnership • Learning how to communicate professionally with journalists, clients, influencers and talent managers • Following news, social trends and creator content to identify opportunities for clients • Being a reliable team player who brings enthusiasm, meets deadlines and keeps campaign administration organised
