As the company expands across the US and Canadian markets, they're looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive new business opportunities and build relationships with public-sector decision-makers.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly autonomous, results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) with proven experience selling to government organizations, municipalities, or public-sector institutions.

In this part-time remote sales role (24 hours per week), you'll take ownership of outbound prospecting, lead generation, appointment setting, and closing sales opportunities across North America.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SDR or business development professional who understands public-sector sales cycles, can independently build a qualified pipeline, and is comfortable working in a growing AI technology company.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Outbound Prospecting

• Identify and prospect municipalities, government agencies, and public-sector organizations across the US and Canada.
• Independently research and engage key decision-makers through cold email, cold calling, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels.
• Develop targeted prospect lists and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Identify potential use cases for AI-powered solutions within government organizations.

Appointment Setting & Sales Closing

• Book qualified meetings and product demonstrations with relevant decision-makers.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand organizational challenges and technology needs.
• Communicate the value of AI solutions to public-sector stakeholders.
• Manage sales opportunities from initial outreach through appointment setting and deal closing.
• Build relationships with prospects and navigate longer, consultative public-sector sales cycles.

CRM & Pipeline Management

• Use Zoho CRM to manage leads, track activities, and monitor sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate prospect information, meeting notes, and follow-up schedules.
• Independently manage pipeline progression and prioritize high-value opportunities.
• Track performance against lead generation, meetings booked, and deals closed.

Requirements

• Must have proven sales experience within public-sector or governmental organizations, including municipalities, government agencies, or similar institutions.
• Demonstrated experience in outbound sales, business development, or SDR roles.
• Proven ability to independently generate leads, book qualified appointments, and close sales.
• Hands-on experience using Zoho CRM for pipeline management and sales tracking.
• Strong understanding of B2B or B2G (business-to-government) sales processes.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Confident engaging senior stakeholders and government decision-makers.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
• Availability to work 24 hours per week, aligned with the client's Eastern Time zone.
• Reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and professional remote working setup.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience selling AI, SaaS, or other technology solutions.
• Existing knowledge of the US or Canadian municipal and government markets.
• Familiarity with public-sector procurement processes and government sales cycles.
