We are looking for a highly experiencedMainframe Security Specialistto support a South African financial services client on ashort-term, high-impact engagement.
This role focuses on addressing acritical audit finding related to MQ security on mainframe systems, ensuring robust access controls and security patterns are implemented ahead of a strict remediation deadline.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise inmainframe security, MQ environments, and Broadcom Top Secret, along with the ability to collaborate with other senior engineers and SMEs.

Advanced expertise in
MQ on Mainframe (z/OS)
Strong hands-on experience with
Broadcom Top Secret
Deep understanding of
mainframe security architecture and access control models
Experience applying
DevOps practices within mainframe environments
Solid knowledge of:

Batch job security controls

User authentication and authorization frameworks

Third-party tool security integration
Experience with
audit remediation and compliance requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 10 years’ experiencein mainframe environments

mainframe security and MQ environments
Experience working in
financial services or highly regulated industries(preferred)
Demonstrated involvement in
security audits and remediation initiatives
Relevant certifications in
mainframe technologies or security(advantageous)
