The Insurance Service Support Associate plays a critical role in ensuring our Members keep their accounts in good standing so their insurance coverage and emergency road service assistance is available when needed. This role contributes to the success of our insurance business line with major impacts on insurance retention and errors and omissions exposure. The role supports insurance retention by providing insurance customer service work to all partner insurance carriers within the organization, identifying specific product or service needs, explaining the value proposition and answering questions to overcome objections, resulting in creating Members for life.
Essential Functions
• Services all partner insurance policies
• Conducts a comprehensive policy and product review with clients to maximize the best value options while offering a range of suitable products. Uses provided tools and applicable underwriting guidelines to assess risk, recommend appropriate products and related coverage, quote, bind, and issue policies
• Uses sales techniques and product knowledge to identify customer-specific needs to retain prospective and current Members with existing and additional products and services. Effectively explains the value proposition and answers questions to overcome objections to close the sale and collect payments.
• Ensures accurate and timely tracking is completed as required, including notating accounts with all customer interactions and actions taken
• Identifies process improvement opportunities, proposes solutions, and implements best practices
Knowledge and Skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in the language(s) required for the role, as justified for business necessity
• Strong sales, customer service, tracking, and follow-up skills
• Knowledge of software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, browsers, and email
• Knowledge of products, services, and systems preferred
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment
• Ability to accept feedback and course correct as necessary
• Bilingual communication skills preferred
Education and Experience
• Active Property & Casualty License or Personal Lines License preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• One year of sales, retention or customer service experience
• Acquires all unrestricted licenses required to sell Insurance and Membership products in all states serviced by the Member Service Center at the time of hire or added thereafter, required within 60 calendar days of (i) starting in the role, or (ii) expansion of the Member Service area
Remote Requirements
• A quiet, dedicated workspace that is free of distraction
• You must have the ability to directly connect to ISP via Ethernet (No DSL, Satellite, Hot Spots, etc). Modem/Router must be in the same room as the computer equipment. Minimum 25 mbps download and minimum 5 mbps upload.
•Ability to work a full-time, post-training schedule of Monday-Friday 10AM-7PM (MDT). Required training hours will be Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM (MDT) for 6-8 weeks.
