The role

We are hiring an Inside Sales Representative (BDR) for Rackspace Technology’s Data & AI Practice. You will report to the Head of BDR.

Your job is to open doors. You will find and qualify companies that need data modernization, analytics, and production AI — then book the right meetings for our Data & AI sales team.

This is not a generic cloud SDR seat. You will sell a real Data & AI story: governed enterprise AI, modern data platforms, and outcomes customers can run in production.

What you’ll do

• Run outbound and inbound motion across a defined territory or account list.
• Prospect CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, VP Data, and business leaders on LinkedIn, phone, and email.
• Qualify fast: use case, data maturity, budget, sponsor, timeline, and path to production.
• Book qualified meetings and create Sales Accepted Opportunities in Salesforce.
• Run sharp first-call discovery and hand off cleanly to Account Executives and solutions teams.
• Partner with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Palantir, and Uniphore co-sell motions when it helps the deal.
• Keep CRM tight — every activity, next step, and note.
• Hit monthly targets for meetings, SAOs, and pipeline created.

What you’ll sell

• Data platform modernization and analytics
• Generative AI, agentic AI, and enterprise AI platforms
• Palantir Foundry and AIP for regulated and mid-market environments
• AI operations and production inference on governed infrastructure
• Professional services, forward-deployed engineering, and managed Data & AI operations

What good looks like

• You consistently beat activity and pipeline targets.
• Buyers leave the first call clearer than they arrived.

• AEs trust your handoffs.

• You know enough Data & AI to be credible — and you learn fast on the rest.

What you bring

• 6+ years in BDR, inside sales, or mid-market sales for cloud, data, analytics, AI, or enterprise services.
• A proven outbound engine. You can open accounts without waiting for inbound.
• Working knowledge of cloud + data + AI (AWS, Azure, or GCP; data platforms; GenAI). You do not need to be an architect.
• Strong English on video, phone, and email.
• Salesforce and sales tools (Sales Navigator, Outreach / Zoominfo etc or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Sold services or outcomes, not only licenses.
• Touched Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex, or Uniphore.
• Worked BFSI, healthcare, energy, or other regulated buyers.
