Job SummaryThe Fabrication Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships while driving profitable sales growth for fabrication products and services. This role serves as the primary point of contact for existing and prospective customers, identifying opportunities, understanding customer requirements, and delivering value-added solutions that align with fabrication capabilities.
The representative actively pursues new business opportunities within assigned territories, conducts customer visits, prepares quotations, negotiates pricing, and collaborates closely with inside sales, operations and customer service teams to ensure customer expectations are met. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, manufacturing operations, project management principles, and market conditions.
In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, the Fabrication Outside Sales Representative is expected to support the Operations team in developing and maintaining a robust network of vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and industry contacts that contribute to business growth and enhance the company's fabrication capabilities. This includes identifying and qualifying strategic partners, sourcing new fabrication and processing resources, monitoring market trends, and leveraging industry relationships to improve responsiveness, capacity, competitiveness, and value-added solutions for customers. The representative will collaborate with Operations and Leadership to align vendor development efforts with the company's growth strategy and operational objectives.Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities:
