The Role

You will take responsibility for the overall performance of our electrical contracts, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include: • Managing multiple electrical contracts and projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion. • Overseeing electrical works across a range of environments, including social housing, domestic and commercial properties. • Leading and supporting Electrical Supervisors, electricians, apprentices and subcontractors. • Planning and coordinating labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor resources. • Developing, monitoring and maintaining programmes of work to ensure delivery targets are achieved. • Working closely with our Commercial Team to manage budgets, valuations, variations and contract performance. • Building strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners. • Leading progress meetings and providing clear reporting on programme, cost, quality and risk. • Ensuring electrical works comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, health and safety requirements and client specifications. • Monitoring workmanship, testing, certification, quality assurance and project handovers. • Working collaboratively with other areas of the business, including our renewables division, where required. • Identifying operational and commercial risks early and implementing appropriate actions. • Supporting the development and performance of the electrical team, identifying training needs and opportunities for improvement. • Ensuring contracts are delivered on programme, within budget and to client expectations.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong electrical background who is confident taking ownership, making decisions and leading teams.

Ideally, you will have: • Previous experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager or an experienced Electrical Project Manager ready to take the next step. • A strong technical background in electrical installations, maintenance and associated works. • Experience managing multiple electrical contracts, operatives and subcontractors simultaneously. • Experience within social housing, domestic or commercial electrical works would be advantageous. • Good commercial awareness, including managing budgets, valuations, variations and project costs. • A sound understanding of current electrical regulations, including BS 7671 and relevant health and safety requirements. • Strong client management, leadership and communication skills. • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities. • Relevant electrical qualifications, ideally including an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and current 18th Edition qualification. • A full UK driving licence.
