The role:

You'll be BD's creative authority on social for our client work, reporting to our Chief Business Officer. It's a new role, created because social is now as big a part of what clients ask us for as cinematic film.

Every brand needs its own voice on social. One wants fun, irreverent moments built around local experiences. Another wants quiet, intimate, cinematic moments that still feel native to the feed. You'll read each brand's tone of voice, work out how it lives on social and turn that into creative franchises, formats and hooks our creators can run with, month after month.

Then you'll make sure it lands. You'll sell the thinking to clients, choose the right creators, sit in pre-production, review edits as they come in and give the feedback that makes them better. You'll get to the odd shoot to creatively direct when it matters, but most of your impact comes from overseeing many productions at once.

You'll also be our champion for social inside BD. You'll keep the whole company sharp on what's working in social right now, help write our social playbook and make sure we're always learning what best practice looks like. We don’t want you to just run brand social channels. We want you to innovate social and push for the new frontier of exciting organic social that consumers are engaged in.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll lead the craft and build the system, and our creator network brings it to life at scale.

What you'll do:

Lead social creatively for a growing roster of global travel and hospitality brands, across organic social and paid.
Create social playbooks for each brand, defining its creative franchises, formats and hooks, and how its tone of voice works on social.
Write hooks and copy that stop the scroll in the first 3 seconds.
Present and sell social creative to clients in new business meetings, project kickoffs and pre-production, as the expert they trust with their brand.
Brief and select creators for each piece of work, and plan ahead so we have the right creators in the right places for what's coming.
Review edits daily against the brief, the brand and best practice, and give clear feedback that lifts the work.
Bring the latest trends, formats and platform behaviour into BD, and champion our social playbook across the whole company.
Use AI and new tools to explore more ideas, move faster and help us deliver social at scale.

What you'll bring:

You live in social, and you believe always-on social is the most important thing a brand's marketing team does. You've spent your career making it, rather than cutting it down from a bigger campaign.

Around 8 to 12 years of experience is a good guide, and we care more about what you did with them than the number. You might be a creative director already, or an associate creative director or social creative lead who's hungry for the next step.

You know what's trending in social right now, the hooks, formats and platform shifts, and you turn that into creative ideas without waiting to be told.
You've led creative on always-on social accounts or retainers for brands, and you know what it takes to keep the work fresh month after month.
You can take a brand's tone of voice and make it work on social, then build the franchises and formats that let others run with it.
You're confident leading client conversations and presentations, and clients trust you with their brand.
You're fast, flexible across time zones and comfortable juggling lots of brands at once.
You use AI and new tools in your creative process, and you can show us how they've made your work better.

You might be coming from a social-first or independent creative agency, an in-house social studio at a brand, a platform like TikTok or Meta, or from making social content as a creator yourself. A mix of these is even better. Travel experience is a bonus. A deep understanding of social matters more.

Is this you?

You'll love this role if you want to own social for some of the biggest names in travel, set the creative standard across all of them and see your ideas go live every week.

It probably won't suit you if social has mostly been the cut-downs at the end of a 360 campaign, if your next move depends on building a large team, or if you're wary of AI in the creative process.
