Position: Technical Business Analyst

Work Arrangement

• Lahore-based - Onsite

• Timing: 8PM – 5AM PKT

• Candidates must be comfortable working Pacific Time hour

Point of IT is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Islamabad.

This is a customer-facing role focused on understanding business requirements, analyzing

application processes, and translating business needs into clear functional and technical

requirements for development teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and communication skills, understand

software development processes, and be comfortable working directly with customers,

developers, QA, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and technical requirements from customers and

stakeholders

• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and workshops

• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows

• Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements for

development teams

• Analyze existing applications, workflows, integrations, and business processes

• Work closely with developers, QA, project managers, and customers throughout the

SDLC

• Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and impacts of proposed changes

• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Agile activities

• Clarify requirements and provide functional guidance to development and QA

teams

• Support UAT, testing, and validation of delivered functionality

• Analyze data and perform basic SQL queries for validation and troubleshooting

• Understand APIs, integrations, data flows, and web-based applications

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date requirements and project documentation

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems

Analyst, or similar role

• Strong experience in requirements gathering and functional analysis

• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process documentation

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical

stakeholders

• Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, integrations, and web applications

• Experience working with development and QA teams

• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools is preferred

• Experience working directly with customers is preferred

• Experience with CRM, ERP, eCommerce, or other business applications is a plus
